The Bible
The Old and New Testaments are the inspired, infallible and authoritative Word of God. In the Bible, we find the revelation of God's will for the salvation of men, and the Divine and final authority for the Christian life. (II Timothy 3:16, II Peter 1:20-21)
The Trinity
There is one God, the Creator of all things, who is infinitely perfect and eternally existent in three Persons-Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Matt. 28:19, Corinthians 13:14)
God Incarnate
Jesus Christ is true God and true man. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He led a sinless life and died on the cross as a sacrifice for the sins of all men. He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and is now at the right hand of the Father as our High Priest and Advocate. (John 1:1,4, Matthew 1:18, Hebrews 4:15, Hebrews 9:15, John 20:1-9, 24-31; Acts 2:24 & 33; Hebrews 10:12, Acts 1:11; Hebrews 9:28; Matthew 24:30).
Salvation
Man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is therefore lost. Only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained. The shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only grounds for justification and salvation. (Romans 3:23, 5:12, John 3:16, Titus 3:5-7)
Evangelism & Missions
It is the commandment of Christ as well a, the duty and privilege of every follower of Christ to endeavor to make disciples of all nations. The new birth of man's spirit by God's Holy Spirit means the birth of love for others as a commitment to correct, rebuke and encourage with careful instruction. Missionary effort on the part of all rests thus upon a spiritual necessity of the regenerate life, and is expressly and repeatedly commanded in the teachings of Christ. The Lord Jesus Christ has commanded the preaching of the gospel to all nations. (2 Timothy 4:1&2, Matt. 28:18-20)
Ordinances
Water baptism and the Lord's Supper are ordinances to be observed by the Church during the present age. However, they are not to be regarded as a means of salvation.
The Holy Spirit
The present supernatural ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ. During this age, He indwells, guides, instructs and empowers the believer for godly living and service. (Romans 8:1-17)
Bible Study and Prayer
Born-again, Spirit-filled believers should maintain a consistent study of God's Word and prayer life in order to grow in their relationship with God and to know Him more fully. (Galatians 1:15-18, Psalms 5:3)
The Church
The true Church is composed of all those who are born again. Through this new birth, we are united together in the body of Christ. Jesus Christ is the Lord and Head of the Church. All born-again believers should be active members of a local New Testament church. (Ephesians 2:19-22)
The Return of Jesus Christ
The return of Jesus Christ is imminent and will be personal. The certainty of His return has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer. (Titus 2:13, Revelation 1:7)
The Resurrection
The believer will be bodily resurrected from the dead to everlasting joy with the Lord, and the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting, conscious punishment. (Revelation14:14-20 & 20:11-15)
The Family
We understand family to mean one male and one female parent with one or more children, all related by the institution of marriage though we recognize the exception of a single parent.
We reject homosexual marriages or homosexual orientation because it is contrary to Scripture and the intentions of God in Creation (Romans 1:18-32). As well, we reject transitory co-habitat ional relationships as being equally in violation of God's laws and incapable of providing the long-term nurture and instruction needed by children and commanded by God (Proverbs 1:8-9; 2:1-11; Colossians 3:21; Ephesians 6:4).
